Chaos Corona

Chaos Corona is a photorealistic 3D rendering engine used in architectural visualization to create realistic images of interior and exterior models. The software was originally developed as an independent project, and later its development was taken over by Chaos, which also develops the well-known rendering system V-Ray.

Corona is particularly popular among architects and visualization artists, as it is known for its simple workflow, realistic light simulation, and intuitive settings. The software is primarily integrated into the 3D modeling platform Autodesk 3ds Max and is also available for Cinema 4D.

Key Features

1. Photorealistic Lighting (Global Illumination)
Corona uses physically accurate light calculations, allowing users to achieve results that closely resemble natural lighting.

2. Simple and Intuitive Interface
Corona is known as one of the most user-friendly rendering engines, as it automatically optimizes many parameters and requires less complex configuration.

3. Interactive Rendering
Users can see changes in the scene in real time, which significantly speeds up the design and visualization process.

4. Physically Accurate Materials
The Corona Material system allows users to create realistic textures such as glass, metal, fabric, wood, and other surfaces.

5. Render Elements and Post-processing
Corona includes a built-in post-processing system (tone mapping, bloom & glare, color correction), which often reduces the need to use additional software for final image adjustments.
