Danielsen in 1987.\u00a0was founded by Kasper Danielsen and today employs more than 70 people in its Stockholm office and company-designed headquarters in Copenhagen.\u00a0Danielsen Architecture (1987) creates functionalist architecture, Danielsen Space Planning (2001) advises companies on interior design and design, and Danielsen Urban Landscape (2015) creates and shapes landscape architecture.<\/p>\n

The “Myrholm” project is a modern canal quarter in the former industrial port area of \u200b\u200bCopenhagen, Enghave Brygge.<\/p>\n
Danielsen Architecture’s design of a classic Copenhagen neighborhood is inspired by new Nordic design.\u00a0Based on the idea of \u200b\u200bthe new Nordic functionalism, buildings are designed with priority given to functionality and comfort.<\/p>\n
The modern facades of Myrholm apartments are made of light but durable materials.\u00a0A unique window design with large floor-to-ceiling windows ensures maximum natural light.\u00a0Each apartment has its own balcony or roof terrace with spectacular views of the former harbor area and canals.\u00a0Green areas and paths allow residents to enjoy the waterfront.<\/p>\n
“We live and work in the north, so our northern context accompanies us in the design as well.\u00a0The plants we plant, the materials we build with, and the spaces we create are Nordic in nature.\u00a0Everything we do reflects our Nordic mindset.\u00a0New Nordic functionalism also means that functionality is at the heart of our projects, with users as the main actors in all our design processes.\u00a0This is the quality of the project” – therefore, according to Kasper Danielsen, “Myrholm” is a good example of the new Nordic functionalism.<\/p>\n
An open and dialogue-based approach means that every project is carried out together with many interested parties.\u00a0Therefore, quality assurance, error control and collaboration become the most important issues in every project.\u00a0In a large residential project like Myrholm, it is especially important to avoid unpleasant surprises on the construction site.<\/p>\n
For large, complex projects and given the demands of the modern building, it’s important to have the right technology and processes in place to ensure that all parties are working towards a common goal from the time the first 3D models are exchanged until the contractors leave the construction site.<\/p>\n
