Description
Schedule: 4h/day (09:00–13:00), Mon–Sat (6 sessions)
Group: 5–7 students
Outcome: Students can model a steel frame, apply basic connections, run numbering, create GA + assembly drawing, and produce a basic report + IFC export.
Training Course is a practical, output-oriented training for beginners who want to start working with structural steel in Tekla. Participants build a small steel frame model, apply standard connections, run numbering, and produce a basic documentation pack (GA + assembly drawings, reports, IFC export). The course is designed for small groups (5–7 students) with strong hands-on support and real deliverables.
A certificate confirming participation in the training will be provided.
The number of attendees is limited and registration is required.
Training Language is Georgian.
TRAINING IS FOR
- Structural engineers starting Tekla for steel projects
- BIM modelers/detailers who want to produce steel drawings in Tekla
- Draftsmen / CAD technicians moving from 2D (AutoCAD) to 3D steel workflows
- AEC professionals who need to read/coordinate steel models and exports (IFC)
To join, participant should have:
- Basic understanding of steel structures (members, bracing, plates, bolts)
- Basic computer skills (file/folder management)
- Recommended: basic drafting/model reading skills (plans/sections)
- Software: A laptop/workstation capable of running Tekla
- No prior Tekla experience required
Certificate of Completion
This certificate confirms that Participant has successfully completed a 24-hour practical training and demonstrated the ability to:
- Set up a Tekla project environment (model organization, grids/levels, views)
- Model a basic steel frame (columns, beams, secondary beams, bracing) using correct positioning and orientation
- Create and manage assemblies using the “Main part” logic
- Apply and adjust basic steel connections (beam-to-column, beam-to-beam, bracing connections, base plate introduction)
- Run numbering and maintain consistent part/assembly marks
- Produce basic documentation outputs:
- GA drawing (1 sheet)
- Assembly drawing(s) (1–2 sheets)
- Material and bolt reports
- IFC export for coordination
Issued upon: attendance ≥80% and submission of the required capstone pack.
